Behind the scenes at Cathay Pacific Airways’ Techweek

When you hear Cathay Pacific Airlines, you may associate it with an airline that is known for its valuable service and high customer experience ratings. Origami Labs were thrilled to be invited to showcase and speak during Techweek, a week-long event located in their massive Hong Kong headquarters named Cathay City.

TechWeek focused on bringing the spirit of innovation to its staff, allowing employees to drop by the event and meet with various startups to learn more about entrepreneurship and the spirit of innovation. 

In one week, Origami Labs spoke with more than 100 Cathay employees, gaining product feedback, oflo, as well as industry insights. These extremely valuable insights show Origami Labs the needs and opportunities available for oflo in the airline, as guest experience is also crucial in the industry. In return, Cathay employees left the event energized with new technology and innovation ideas.

On the last day of the conference, Origami Labs’ CEO, Kevin Wong shared his insights on the importance of screen-free technology, particularly in a service-based workplace such as Cathay Pacific. The talk was well-received among the hundreds of Cathay employees in attendance, sparking interesting conversations around its potential in their business.
